The Kentucky Derby is a top rank, Grade I stakes race for 3-year-old thoroughbreds. The race distance is one and one-quarter miles long, and it is run on the main track dirt surface at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.  The rose garland, now synonymous with the Kentucky Derby, is the source of the nickname “Run for the Roses®” and has a history almost as long as the Derby itself.

You and your party will receive a turf club table on the fourth floor of the grandstand, with your own TV at the table and a gorgeous view of the racing action at Golden Gate. Self-service betting machines and tellers are in the turf club to assist all who wish to wager on the races, whether those wagers are for races from Golden Gate, Churchill Downs, Santa Anita Park or other tracks featured across the United States.
