    The Digital Ordering Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining and upkeeping a clean kitchen. The Digital Ordering Dishwasher is organized and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Digital Ordering Dishwasher’s duties include removing soiled plates and flatware from tables, washing them thoroughly. They may also restock items, unload delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties, as needed.


    All job positions at Golden Gate Fields may be assigned further duties with or without notice, verbally or in writing.

    Job Requirements:
    • Must have the ability to communicate verbally to co-workers in English with some understanding of Spanish
    • Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds, also twist, bend, push, pull, turn and reach
    • Must be able to stand for full shift, walk up and down stairs, and walk long distances during the shift
    • Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that often ranges in extreme temperature (hot and cold), can be smoky with loud noises from equipment and other personnel
    • Must be well-organized and have ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Must satisfactorily fulfill all department training requirements

    Job Duties:
    • Washes all dishes in a dish machine or by hand.
    • Clean Dish Machine every 2 hours.
    • Washes and scrubs all pots and pan as necessary.
    • Assists in stocking and rotating of incoming products.
    • Empties any kitchen trash receptacles, properly dispose of garbage, and replace with appropriate liner.
    • Drains and cleans dish machine as necessary.
    • Drains and cleans the three compartment sinks, as necessary.
    • Stores all Dishes and other small wares in there appropriate areas.
    • Weekly and daily cleaning dry storage, walk in shelving, and steam tables.
    • Incorporate safe work practices.
    • Attend all Staff meetings.
    • Maintain all sanitation standards
    • Sweep and mop floors when necessary.
    • Report any broken equipment to the Chef.


    Availability & Shifts for Digital Ordering Positions:
    Friday, Saturday, Sunday (and Thursdays when we are racing): 10:30am-6:30pm
    Applicants need to be available on Weekends beginning Friday April 16. (Training will be 2 hours on Thursday April 15)

    Overview:
    The Digital Ordering Expo is responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of food and beverage orders that come in through the mobile ordering system. The Digital Ordering Expo ensures that items are prepared correctly according to the digital order and GGF standards and delivered to the appropriate guest or location in a timely fashion. The Digital Ordering Expo also ensures that all department policies, procedures and instructions given by the supervisor are followed.

    Job Requirements:
    • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and congenially with guests about GGF services, products, programs and events
    • Must have the ability to communicate verbally with guests and co-workers in English with some understanding of Spanish
    • Must be able to comfortably utilize mobile device to communicate with guests using appropriate language and professional tone
    • Must be able to read and comprehend online orders
    • Must be able to perform basic functions in the digital ordering system to maintain accurate product offerings, communicate with runners and guests through the system, refund or credit guests as needed, and submit daily reports
    • Must be able to troubleshoot technology in case device malfunctions in order to maintain constant flow of information
    • Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds, also twist, bend, push, pull, turn and reach
    • Must be able to stand for entire shift, walk up and down stairs, and walk long distances during the shift

    Job Duties:
    • Uses handheld technology (mobile) device to ensure the efficient flow of orders from the digital ordering system to the kitchen
    • Ensures online orders are being prepared with the correct priority
    • Facilitates communication between workers to ensure online orders are being prepared efficiently, accurately, and with a sense of urgency to reduce guest wait time
    • Assists in the final preparation or packaging of the order
    • Checks individual dishes, beverages and final order before pick up or delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
    • Hands off final order, and communicates delivery instructions to the runner to ensure efficient and accurate delivery
    • Delivers orders as needed to maintain fast service
    • May cover other worker’s stations for mandatory breaks
    • Eliminates obstacles in service and food & beverage preparation
    • Inspects the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assists in cleaning
    • Communicates important information between the kitchen and runners
    • Communicates important information to the kitchen for guest requests
    • Manages customer communications by phone or through the online platform to ensure high levels of service and guest satisfaction
    • Resolves guest issues in a timely fashion, or escalates to the appropriate manager
    • Manages online inventory of menu offerings; Marks items as unavailable in a timely fashion
    • Supports other tasks as needed by F&B management

    • Must be able and willing to follow specific recipes and production techniques with minimal to no supervision to prepare menu items to GGF Culinary standards
    • Maintains high quality standards in food preparation to ensure guests receive superior product
    • Must have the ability to communicate verbally to co-workers in English with some understanding of Spanish
    • Must be able to read and comprehend guest orders on mobile device and printed ticket with no assistance
    • Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds, also twist, bend, push, pull, turn and reach
    • Must be able to stand for full shift, walk up and down stairs, and walk long distances during the shift
    • Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that often ranges in extreme temperature (hot and cold), can be smoky with loud noises from equipment and other personnel

    Job Duties:
    • Uses handheld technology (mobile) device to fulfill orders
    • Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately, and with a sense of urgency
    • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
    • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
    • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
    • Prepares menu items and modified orders according to Digital Ordering ticket or tablet display
    • Packages or plates menu items according to SAP standards
    • Double checks the menu item is prepared correctly, quickly, safely, garnished appropriately, and at the right temperature before handing off to the Expo
    • May need to remake orders at the direction of the Expo or Management
    • Provides high level of guest service; may need to prioritize certain orders above others or keep preparation line open longer than scheduled in order to maintain guest satisfaction
    • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
    • Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
    • Maintains appropriate health and safety standards according to County codes, guidelines, and GGF standards
    • Supports other tasks as needed by F&B management

    • Delivers orders to guests quickly & accurately across multiple GGF locations
    • Serves as an ambassador for the online system by answering questions about the online ordering platform, pick-ups & deliveries, and the benefits of using the system
    • Assists guests in placing online orders or troubleshooting when out in the field
    • Resolves guest issues in a timely fashion, or escalates to the appropriate manager
    • Collects/removes trash from customers as needed

    Description
    SUMMARY

    A Security Officer has the responsibility of providing a safe and secure environment for the guests and team members of Golden Gate Fields.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Observes and reports and/or halts any violation of CHRB/Racetrack rules and regulations, or violations of federal, state, and local laws.

    Utilizes radio communications, effects detentions, and makes arrests when appropriate to ensure safety of track patrons.

    Responds to direction of the Public Safety Manager, or any other member of the Executive Management Team.

    Knows emergency evacuation procedures and knows the location and function of all emergency equipment. Makes periodic fire hose and extinguisher checks, as necessary.

    Checks for and reports any safety hazard.

    Observes tellers, ATMs, mutuel machine attendants, and other money handling locations for signs of any assistance needed.

    At all times, is a courteous, professional, responsive, and well-groomed point of contact for track patrons in need of assistance or information.

    Provides escort for any patron or employee so requesting.

    Provides constant foot patrol of assigned areas, serving as an observer, customer service provider, and visual deterrent to illegal activity.

    Ensures barred entry to or removal of patrons bringing alcohol, coolers, or illegal substances to the track. Ensures continued bar of patrons known to be banned from track facilities.

    Ensures that patrons do not move chair and other track property from their assigned areas. Ensures that patrons do not damage track property.

    Keeps stairs and all regular and emergency exits open and clear.

    Observes money transport vehicles’ approach, entry, and departure and provides armed security to prevent and show obvious deterrent to robbery of same.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school or general education diploma (GED) is required. Some college courses are desirable. At least three years experience in security or law enforcement work, or graduation from an accredited California Peace Officer Standards and Training academy with a POST basic certificate. An Associate of Arts degree in the Administration of Justice, Business, or Management may be substituted for two years experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: The ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. The ability to write reports and business correspondence and to effectively present information to managers, patrons, team members, and the public.

    REASONING ABILITY: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, Guard Card, Weapons Card. Baton Card, and current advanced First Aid Certificate.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of radio procedures and telephone operation. Regular, predictable attendance is required, along with the ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
