Come take in a scenic day at the races while watching, live from Golden Gate Fields, the 42nd running of the El Camino Real Derby!

The El Camino Real Derby, one of the most prestigious events every year in Bay Area horse racing, is for 3-year-olds on the Kentucky Derby trail. The winner of the El Camino Real Derby receives 10 Kentucky Derby points and an all-expenses paid, FREE berth into the second leg of the Triple Crown, the Preakness Stakes, at Pimlico Racecourse on the third Saturday in May!

Two years ago, the Michael McCarthy trained ROMBAUER ( won the El Camino Real, took advantage of his free Preakness birth, and soared to victory at Pimlico under one of the top jockeys in the nation, Flavien Prat. Last year, the Bob Baffert trained BLACKADDER was victorious.
