Fans who attend our annual Preakness Watch Party on Saturday, May 21, 2022 will be seated at a table in our luxurious Turf Club, which offers the most scenic views in the Bay Area. From there, Turf Club guests can dive into our “All You Can Eat” Buffet: a flavorful, diverse feast of breakfast and lunch dishes that is guaranteed to delight any foodie!

Whether you are seated in our turf club or the outdoor grandstand area on the first three floors, fans on-site at Golden Gate can watch and wager on the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Racecourse in Maryland, the supporting races on the Pimlico undercard, and other racetracks all across the country. Golden Gate Fields will also be conducting a live race card on this Saturday!

The two main contenders in the 2022 Preakness are formidable foes. Epicenter, a likely post favorite in the Preakness, went off favored in the Kentucky Derby and lost by 3/4’s of a length. Secret Oath, who won the Kentucky Oaks for fillies under the watchful eye of Hall of Fame training legend D. Wayne Lukas, is set to tackle the boys in the 2022 Preakness. If Secret Oath were to win, she would be the third filly this century to beat males in the Preakness (Swiss Skydiver edged out eventual Horse of the Year Authentic in 2020, and Rachel Alexandra beat Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird in 2009.)
