Golden Gate Fields will open on Thursday, August 24 for its annual summer meet, which will run through Sunday, September 17. The brief four week meet will run Thursdays through Sundays, with holiday racing offered on Labor Day Monday, September 4. First post will be at 1:45 p.m. PT every race day, with gates opening at 10:00 a.m. for early-bird wagering.
The bayside track will host California’s only turf racing September 8 – 17, as part of its Summer Turf Festival. Horsemen are encouraged to contact the Racing Office at Golden Gate Fields for information about vanning and stabling incentives during the summer meet.
Fans will be treated with free general admission every Thursday, along with the famous Dollar Day every Sunday where general admission, general parking, programs, hot dogs, sodas, and beers are just a dollar.
