Berkeley, CA – August 15, 2016: Golden Gate Fields is set to open its doors for another exciting summer meet on Friday, August 19 at 1:45 p.m.
The brief summer race season will run through September 18, with special holiday racing on Labor Day Monday, September 5. First post every race day is scheduled for 1:45 p.m.
Racing on the bayside oval will be highlighted by the running of the $50,000 Rolling Green Stakes on Labor Day Monday. The Rolling Green will be contested on the lakeside turf course at a distance of a mile and one-sixteenth.
Fans may enjoy the famous Dollar Day deals every Sunday during the meet, when the track offers $1 general admission, $1 general parking, $1 programs, $1 hot dogs, $1 beers, and $1 sodas.
Horseplayers will want to note the mandatory payouts on Closing Day, September 18 for the Pick 5, Super High 5 and the 20ยข Golden Pick 6 Jackpot.
