The only way to access Golden Gate Fields is off the Gilman Street exit. Please make sure you take the Gilman exit – even if Google sends you another way. There is currently NO access to GGF off the Buchanan Street exit.

Q: When do tickets go on sale?
A: Tickets go on sale approx. 2 weeks prior to a live racing event.

Q: How much are advance tickets for a day at the races?
A: General Admission Tickets are $15 per adult and includes self-parking, reserved seating and a daily race program. Seats are a first come-first serve basis. 

Kids under 17 are FREE with a paid adults ticket & box seat reservation only. All Kids and adults must be registered at the time of purchase.

TURF CLUB SEATS: $20 per adult and includes self-parking, reserved seating and a daily race program.

Q: Are kids/families welcome to the races?
A: Yes. We encourage grand/parents to bring their children with them.  Select “Child Ticket” to purchase a ticket for a patron 17 or younger.

Q: My General Admission Ticket online doesn’t say my seat number… Do I have a seat?
A: General Admission tickets are a first-come, first-serve basis. If you have purchased GA tickets, you will be able to sit in any seat that is open. 

Q: Are walk-up tickets available?
A: Yes. Walk-up/General Admission is  available.  For walk-up guests, Golden Gate offers a limited number of stadium seats or inside Clubhouse seating. Seats come on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Programs are available for $3  each at the entrance.
Daily Racing forms are available for purchase at the Customer Service Center in the clubhouse.

Q: What concessions are open?
A: On-track fans can purchase meals and treats on all  levels of the building. Items on the menu include (but are not limited to): Hot Dogs, Nachos, candy and cookies,.

Q: I accidentally purchased the wrong tickets for a race day, can I get a refund?
A: Please carefully select your Live Racing Date before purchasing a ticket. In the event, a race date is cancelled by the track for unforeseen circumstances, we will apply your original ticket to an alternative date to attend. If you made a mistake, please email questions@goldengatefields.com.

Q: What time do gates open and close?
A: Gates will open at 10 AM on live race days unless otherwise indicated. Gates will close approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the last race. *PLEASE NOTE: post times subject to change. Please verify on our website prior to arrival.*

Q: Where do we park? Is there valet?
A: There is no valet service at this time. Self Parking will be in available at the “Top of the Hill” and “Top of the Stretch” lots near the front of the building. For those without pre-purchased tickets, parking is $5 a vehicle on weekdays and $10 a vehicle on weekends.

Q: Is tailgating allowed?
A: Golden Gate Fields does not allow tailgating on the property. 

Q: What should I wear?
A: We encourage “Derby” fashion for a day at the races. (No flip flops, ripped jeans, tank tops, etc.) Wearing something warm may be optimal; with our grandstand in close proximity to the bay, weather can be cool at times, especially in the winter months. 

Q: If it’s raining, will the event be cancelled?
A: We race-rain or shine-unless otherwise noted by track officials. 

Q: Is there a shuttle from BART station?
A: NO. At this time, we are not offering shuttle service. Ride Shares and Cabs are available to bring guests with valid tickets to the front gate.

Q: Is ADA/Handicap seating available?
A: Yes, we have limited ADA seating available available online or walk-up admission. For anyone requiring ADA or other accommodations during your visit, please contact questions@goldengatefields.com for further information and to make special arrangements prior to arrival if needed.

Q: What are you doing to keep fans safe?

Q: Will there be live tellers or self-service wagering?
A: Yes, limited live tellers and self-service wagering machines will be available to place bets.

Q: What is “Contactless Wagering?”
A: You can wager at the track using your mobile device/smart phone through 1/ST BET, the official app of Golden Gate Fields. This limits contact with live tellers and other guests during your visit. Visit http://www.1st.com/bet/golden-gate-fields to learn more and get the app.

Q: Is there Food and Beverage to purchase during my visit?
A: Yes, there are multiple concession stands, bars and the Turf Club restaurant available.
Those with small children and/or dietary restrictions should plan accordingly.

Q: Is there Free Wi-Fi?
A: Yes, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi during your visit. Details are provided in the daily race program.

Q: Is there a Daily Race Form to purchase during my visit?
A: Yes, the Daily Race Form will be available to purchase at the front gate upon arrival.

Q: Does Golden Gate Fields serve alcoholic beverages?
A: The Circle Bar in the Clubhouse (Level 3) and the Paddock Pub (Level 1) will be open with (a) live bartender(s). In the state of California, you must be 21 years and older to order, purchase and drink alcohol. 

Q: If I have an old winning tickets or credit voucher, can I redeem it during my visit?
A: Yes, you can redeem valid/non-expired credit vouchers and winning ticket during your visit.

Q: Is the Turf Club Restaurant Open?
A: YES. The Turf Club is open but it is prefered that you purchase your tickets in advance in case we sell out. https://am.ticketmaster.com/goldengatefields/buy

Q: Are you honoring Owner Passes for the Turf Club?
A: If you are a licensed owner, please contact the racing office to be added to the Turf Club guest list. Limited seating available. You must do this in advance of arrival.

Q: Is my old Thoroughbred Card still valid for entry?
A: Yes, Thoroughbred Cards/XB Reward Cards and prepaid passes are currently being accepted at the clubhouse entrance.

At this time we are not accepting any of the following: Club House Guest Passes, Turf Club Guest Passes, General Admission Guest Passes, Top of the Stretch Guest Passes, Expired Daily Passes, Owner/Trainer Passes, Donated Gift Vouchers.

Q: Is my $1 token still valid for Dollar Sunday when you reopen?
A: NO. We are not currently offering Dollar Day Sundays. We do have a full calendar of events with more to come. Check back for more live race dates and special events at Golden Gate Fields.

Q: Can I bring a professional camera?
A: We are sorry but no professional cameras are allowed except by approved media.
