1) Pre-Purchase Tickets Online

Reserved Box & Single Stadium seating is available only by advance reservation only. Tickets maybe purchased online only prior to arrival. Online tickets include admission, reserved seating, a race program and self-parking for $15 per adult. Children under the age of 17 are free with a paid adult (and add-on ticket) *Walk up General Admission also available but no reserved/guaranteed seat.

2) Bring a Mask

If you plan on visiting Golden Gate Fields, we encourage you bring your face mask. Per CDC and CA State guidelines ***Face masks are to be worn by all those who are not fully vaccinated. 3) Download 1/ST BET

We still offer contactless wagering. We encourage you to place your best using your phone or tablet. Download 1/ST BET, the official App of Golden Gate Fields.

4) Download GoTab App

For Live Racing Dates, Golden Gate Fields is offering in-seat concessions with some limited walk-up bar service. Food and Beverage options will be made available at the track using the mobile app GoTab. Please download the App ahead of your visit. GOTAB

5) Use GILMAN Exit only

The only way to access Golden Gate Fields currently is off Gilman Exit. Please make sure you take that Exit – even if Google sends you another way. There is NO access to GGF currently off Buchanan.

Q: When do tickets go on sale?
A: Tickets go on sale approx. 2 weeks prior to a live racing event.

Q: Where / How do I purchase tickets?
A: Ticket information and links to purchase event tickets online are available on Eventbrite or by clicking this link.

Q: I don’t see tickets available for a race date? When will future dates be available?
A: We are working on adding more ticket dates. If you don’t see tickets listed for a future date during this current meet, please check back weekly as we open up more sales.

Q: How much are advance tickets for a day at the races?
A: $15 per adult (*some box seats have min. requirements) and includes parking, reserved seating and a daily race program.

Kids under 17 are FREE with a paid adults ticket & box seat reservation only. All Kids and adults must be registered at the time of purchase.

Q: Are kids/families welcome to the races?
A: Yes. We encourage grand/parents to bring their children with them. Please plan accordingly as we have limited Food and beverage options. NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL OR GLASS CONTAINERS. Please reserve a box seat prior to arrival if you bring kids. Select Child-Add On Ticket.

Q: Is there walk-up tickets available?
A: Yes. Walk-up // General Admission is now open and available However, it does not guarantee a seat. Limited number of stadium Seating in Section H or inside Clubhouse seating is available to walk-up guests. (first come/first served)***General Admission pricing does not include private box seating.

Q: What is on the limited menu?
A: See below for a sample menu to order through the GoTab App. *Menu subject to change.

Q: I accidentally purchased the wrong tickets for a race day, can I get a refund?
A: At this time we cannot offer refunds. Please carefully select your Live Racing Date before purchasing a ticket. In the event, a race date is cancelled by the track for unforeseen circumstances, we will apply your original ticket to an alternative date to attend.

Q: What time do gates open and close?
A: Gates will open at 10 AM on live race days, unless otherwise indicated. Gates will close approx. 30 min. following the conclusion of the last race. *Post Times subject to change. Please verify on our website prior to arrival.

Q: Where do we park? Is there valet?
A: There is No Valet service at this time. Self Parking will be in available in the Top of the Hill and Top of the Stretch lots near the front of the building. For those without an advanced tickets, parking is $5/vehicle weekdays and $10/vehicle on weekends.

Q: What should I wear?
A: It can get cold here right on the bay and with outdoor seating, we highly recommend bringing a sweater and/or other warm clothing just in case.

Q: If it’s raining, will the event be cancelled?
A: We race rain or shine unless otherwise notified by track officials, the event will continue despite inclement weather.

Q: Is there a shuttle from BART station?
A: At this time, we are not offering shuttle service. Ride Shares and Cabs are available to bring guests wil valid tickets to the front gate.

Q: Is ADA/Handicap seating available?
A: Yes, we have limited ADA seating available available online or walk-up admission. For anyone requiring ADA or other accommodations during your visit, please contact questions@goldengatefields.com for further information and to make special arrangements prior to arrival if needed.

Q: Will there be live tellers or self-service wagering?
A: Yes, limited live tellers and self-service wagering machines will be available to place bets.

Q: What is “Contactless Wagering?”
A: You can wager at the track using your mobile device/smart phone through 1/ST BET, the official app of Golden Gate Fields. This limits contact with live tellers and other guests during your visit. Visit http://www.1st.com/bet/golden-gate-fields to learn more and get the app.

Q: Is there Food and Beverage to purchase during my visit?
A: Yes, there is limited food & beverage options available through Contactless Ordering via GoTab app. http://www.GoTab.com
Those with small children and/or dietary restrictions should plan accordingly. Limited bar service will be open in the Clubhouse.

Q: Is there Free Wi-Fi
A: Yes, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi during your visit. Details provided in the daily race program.

Q: Is there a Daily Race Form to purchase during my visit?
A: Yes, the Daily Race Form will be available tp purchase at the front gate upon arrival or you can reserve your copy with your tickets online at time of purchase.

Q: If I don’t have a “smart phone” can I still order concessions?
A: Yes, we will have a limited number of guest attendants available to assist with food orders for those guests without the ability to do so from their phone.

The Circle Bar in the Clubhouse will be open with a live bartender to order drinks. The Turf Club remains closed until further notice.

Q: If I have an old winning tickets or credit voucher, can I redeem it during my visit?
A: Yes, you can redeem valid/non-expired credit vouchers and winning ticket during your visit.

Q: Is the Turf Club Restaurant Open?
A: No. At this time, only Clubhouse Level & A-Deck/ Paddock is open for fans. We anticipate reopening the Turf Club in the near future, as Covid-19 restrictions change. Sign-up here to receive an email update for when the Turf Club re-opens.

Q: What if I am a 2020 Turf Club Member or Season Pass Holder?
A: Any guest who paid for a 2020 Turf Club Member/Season Pass Holder or Premium Box Seat, please contact Chris Watts to discuss your options for 2021 and 2022 chris.watts@goldengatefields.com

Q: Is my old Thoroughbred Card still valid for entry?
A: Yes, Thoroughbred Cards/XB Reward Cards and prepaid passes are currently being accepted.

At this time we are not accepting any of the following: Club House Guest Passes, Turf Club Guest Passes, General Admission Guest Passes, Top of the Stretch Guest Passes, Expired Daily Passes, Owner/Trainer Passes, Donated Gift Vouchers.

Q: Is my $1 token still valid for Dollar Sunday when you reopen?
A: No. We are not currently offering Dollar Day Sundays. We do have a full calendar of events with more to come. Check back for more live race dates and special events at Golden Gate Fields.

Q: Can I bring a professional camera?
A: We are sorry but no professional cameras are allowed except by approved media. For media inquiries, please contact nadia.osborn@goldengatefields.com

Q: Can I use the Buchanan Street Exit?
A: NO – Please use GILMAN EXIT only. There is no access to Golden Gate Fields from Buchanan due to the vaccine site. Please avoid as you will get stuck in traffic and there is no through access.

Q: What Should I wear?
A: We encourage “Derby” fashion for a day at the races. Remember to bring something warm as it can become foggy and cool in the grandstandes with our proximity right next to the bay!
